Treating Myself to Oskia Skincare

Treating Myself to Oskia Skincare

Around 2 years ago I developed Eczema. It first appeared on my arms, then moving to my legs with a few little spots popping up all over the place. At first it can be pretty tough, trying to find what products you can and can’t use. But on my body it seems easy enough to deal with. Unfortunately, 2 weeks ago, it reached my face. This is when it starts worrying me. I can cover up my arms and legs if they flare up, but my face, if that flares up I still have to leave the house and go to work. I still have to carry on with my day.

I have my various prescribed creams but I can’t rely on just those. I want to wear make up and look after my skin trying out new nice smelling popular products. So it was time I took things a bit more seriously and tried to figure out a skincare routine that doesn’t cause flare ups. I did so much research looking particularly at reviews and reading bloggers opinions on various products.

This Oskia Skincare Renaissance Cleansing Gel kept popping up, every time with a glowing review. So I went onto their site and had a nose. Their products seemed really out of my price range right now, with this cleansing gel being the cheapest at £28. BUT I did notice that you get £10 off your first order.

At the time I was struggling a bit, as mentioned in THIS post. So as well as treating myself to a new fancy bra, I treated myself to a hopeful skincare product as well.

It arrived fairly fast on the same day as the bra meaning I came home to a pile of presents. As soon as I opened the box you could smell the products. It was full of polystyrene bits which I had to dig through to find the box. I also found a little canvas bag containing 3 free samples which I thought was amazing as being able to test a product before I buy it is extremely helpful when I have no idea what can cause flare ups.

The packaging was clean and white, a beautiful elegant design which really felt expensive. The gel has a strong fragrance to it and comes out a bright orange colour, which I think is gorgeous. You apply it to your face whilst dry then wash it off gently with warm water.

The first time I used it my face felt so soft I actually forgot to apply my moisturiser afterwards! Took me 10 minutes to realise before jumping back out of bed to put it on! In the morning my face did feel really soft and there were no dry patches. I’ve been using this almost daily since and my flare ups have stayed away (might also be due to the whole new skincare routine rather than solely this product). I’m really enjoying using this product so far and although, quite obviously, my eczema hasn’t completely gone, it also hasn’t really flared up as badly.

I haven’t yet tried any of my free samples but I’m looking forward to getting the chance and I’ll be sure to make another post about how they work out for me.

wow this is something I would try, I don’t normally suffer from eczema but this winter my skin has flaired up at times. I might buy this also for my boyfriend as he gets it so bad in the winter months. Have you tried Body Shop Hemp Protector creams – he swears by them. Great post 🙂 x

I’ve actually considered trying them a few times but haven’t gone for it yet. I’ll bear it in mind now though! Might be my next skincare purchase to try out 🙂 Thanks!

Sometimes is with splurging on skincare if it works! I love the packaging.

You should! And the £10 off (if they still do that) makes it much more affordable too 🙂
