My Most Expensive Bra

I’ve always been a little bit of a lingerie addict, ever since I got my first bright blue push up from Marks & Spencer’s. I was still too young and single for anyone to see it but it made me feel so confident wearing the matching set under my clothes. Lingerie has always been a confidence booster for me. Despite growing up and now being able to show it off to a more than happy to see boyfriend, I still most often wear it for my own satisfaction and confidence.

Over the years I’ve developed a nice little collection, although due to insufficient funds they are usually simple high street sets. I’ve always dreamed of owning something a little more fancy, but for some reason never thought to check out the January sales. This year though, advertising did it’s job, and that little ad popping up telling me about a 70% off sale at Agent Provocateur attracted a click. Although the majority were still out of my price range, I chose my size and set the order to price, low to high. This simple, but definitely pretty, black bra popped up at the top, with the modest price tag of £20. For a bra that is pretty damn good, and considering the crossed out price above it was £110, I just had to have a closer look.

I’ll admit I was at work at the time, feeling terribly ill and sorry for myself. This beautiful bra popping up as I quickly browsed in my lunch break was like a gift from heaven, and almost without thinking I ordered it. I’ve spent so long lusting over expensive lingerie and this was my chance. A lunch break is too short to be indecisive, so I went for it, then carried on with my day.

When it arrived I was surprised at the fact I ordered a single bra yet a huge cardboard box was delivered. But once opened it I discovered the joys of more expensive brands. The packaging was perfect. This pink box, with a little pink envelope tied up with a black ribbon. I was a bit nervous to open it and ruin it all! Inside was black tissue paper with a little sticker. Yet more amazingly thought out packaging with so much effort obviously having been put in! Inside this was the bra. It doesn’t look like much on it’s own, which is why I have no photo for you, it’s too black to really be seen. But on, it looks pretty darn good if I say so myself! I loved it! It seemed a little tight at the sides but I’ve always had problems with bra sizes. It was still comfy enough.

I felt like it really showed off my boobs well. It seemed to provide a push up effect without any push up! Whereas a lot of bras can’t really handle my tiny boobs, this one seemed to hold them perfectly.

Unfortunately because it was in the sale the bra has now been sold out so I can’t provide a link. But I would definitely recommend checking out their sale here!

£110 is a LOT for a bra, but £20 is really good. I think good lingerie can make someone feel really good about themselves, I love buying new underwear haha. Great post.

Thank you! And totally agree, I don’t understand how anyone could pay £110 for a bra, £20 is about my limit!
